Custom Eddy Current Sensors
Versatile Products II's custom sensors are designed to meet the needs of your application. Whether that means taking one of our standard sensors and modifying it to meet your size requirements or designing one from the ground up, we can design and test our sensor with your part or assembly quickly with no cost to you.
Versatile Products II's sensors work on any electrically conductive material: steel, stainless steel, aluminum, magnesium and zinc, just to name a few. They are not affected by coolant, oils or other fluids commonly found in the manufacturing environment. Tight tolerances are maintained so the sensors remain "non-contact" ensuring a long life. The tips can be spring loaded, retracting into the body, so the sensor is not damaged crashing into the part. This allows us to sense drills or taps that have broken off in holes without damaging sensors. All our probes are sold with or without bodies and with Delrin or Stainless Steel tips.
