Standard Eddy Current Sensors
Versatile Products II's standard eddy current sensors are designed and manufactured with the same precise standards as our custom sensors. Tight tolerances are maintained so the sensors remain "non-contact" ensuring a long life. The tips are spring loaded, retracting into the body, so the sensor is not damaged crashing into the part. This allows us to sense drills or taps that have broken off in holes without damaging sensors. All our probes can be sold with or without bodies and with Delrin or Stainless Steel tips.
Versatile Products II's standard sensors work on any electrically conductive material: steel, stainless steel, aluminum, castings, magnesium and zinc, just to name a few. They are not affected by coolant, oils or other fluids commonly found in the manufacturing environment. The standard probes are intended for simple thread detection applications.
