Thread Chek 2000
The Versatile Products II system utilizes one TC2000 master module and one eddy current sensor for the first feature being tested. Additional features can be tested by adding a slave module and sensor for each feature. There is no limit to the number of features that can be tested with our system. Slave modules can be added at any time with a minimal amount of work. The system requires less than 50 milliseconds to complete a test.
Each master and slave module has a solid state relay output (normally open contact) for machine control. Individual outputs can be used to control gates for part sorting based on presence of features, control multiple lines machining the same part or to keep statistics on machine performance. The master module can multiplex the individual relay outputs giving one output for machine control. The master module also controls the system frequency which is factory settable up to 1MHz.
The TC2000 is also sold as an analog system. This system allows the user to monitor an analog waveform that represents a real time output of the sensor. The user can store and control calibration points in software (for example on a PLC). If different parts are run on the same line with the same sensor, calibration information can be stored for each part minimizing change over time.
Both systems are sold with power supply, cables and a sealed enclosure. If desired, both systems can be purchased without the power supply or enclosure giving the customer more flexibility in the application.
